In this experience, I learned what it was like to compete alongside a diverse group of kids, all striving toward a common goal. The journey was not just about individual strengths but also highlighted the critical importance of teamwork and collaboration. Throughout the process, we faced various challenges and obstacles that tested our resolve, forcing us to unite and support one another. Dealing with adversity became a crucial part of our story, teaching us valuable lessons about resilience and the power of collective effort in overcoming difficulties. I also learned about dealing with expectations and pressure, in my senior year we were pre-season ranked 4th in the state and were expected to compete for the state championship. We started the year with a record of two wins and three losses. At that point the moral was low but we worked together and rattled off 11 straight wins and ended up with the 12th seed in the tournament. Unfortunately we lost in a tight game in the second round of the playoffs but it was a great experience that I'll remember forever.
